A Conference For Postgraduates

Legal Research Conference 2008

School of Law,

University College Dublin

In December 2008 the UCD School of Law will host the third annual Legal Research Conference for postgraduates.

This year’s conference will revolve around the theme of “Legal Processes Beyond the State”. While the state remains a vital player, legal processes are no longer work solely within the traditional national order. Legal regimes now operate on supranational (e.g. EU), global (e.g. WTO) and transnational (e.g. private standards) levels. The goal of the UCD Legal Research Conference 2008 is to provide a forum for researchers at every level of postgraduate study to present and discuss the nature of the legal processes operating through these orders and their relationship to each other.
